Product Review: Arm & Hammer Total 2-in-1 Dryer Cloths

Arm & Hammer has introduced a new moist dryer cloth that combines fabric softener with the static reducing properties of a dryer sheet. The thicker cloth comes in a resealable plastic bag within a plastic container and you use it just like a regular dryer sheet. It eliminates the measuring of liquid fabric softener and remembering to put it in during the rinse cycle.

The Arm & Hammer folks sent me a container and I gave the Classic Fresh fragrance a try. I’m not a big fabric softener user so I really can’t compare apple to apple. However, I will say that our clothes came out soft, static free and smelling fresh – not overly perfumed. I also used one of the cloths on a load of clothes that needed freshening after being wrinkled while stored. They, too, came out great.

The Total 2-in-1 cloths’ suggested retail is $3.99 for 40 cloths – 10 cents per load. You can compare that to the cost of your fabric softener + a dryer sheet. And don’t forget the convenience!
