Laundry In The News: Detergent Bottle Cleans Up Crime
Everett, Washington: It seems that a bottle of detergent can not only remove grime, it can stop crime. After a robber grabbed a handicapped woman’s handbag in a Safeway parking lot last month, a bystander smacked the fellow over the head with a plastic bottle of liquid laundry detergent . Another shopper wrestled the man to the ground and held him until police arrived.
The moral of this story: Larger bottles of detergent usually offer the best value in cost per load, less packaging results in less environmental impact and pack the best wallop as a defensive weapon.
