Laundry at College Goes Green

Mac-Gray, Inc., a leading supplier of laundry services to college and university campuses, has launched a proprietary Web site geared toward college students concerned with protecting the environment and doing laundry responsibly. LaundryView.com allows students to remotely monitor the laundry machines they are using and displays a water savings meter that maintains an ongoing tally of the number of gallons saved since 2006 in all Mac-Gray laundry rooms where high-efficiency washing machines have been installed. To date, the company has saved more than 1.5 billion gallons of water and has set a goal of achieving water savings of 500 million gallons annually.

The company also has a Web site, Clean and Green Vision, that is filled with laundry tips and factual conservation messages that are interesting and beneficial to everyone.
