26 Recipes = 26 Laundry Stains: Sweet ‘n Sour Springtime Asparagus

The reason that I know so much about laundry is that I’m a messy cook. I love to cook but I always end up with something splashed on my clothes. Fortunately, I usually know how to get the stain out.

So, for the next 26 days I’m going to take you from A to Z in recipes and stain removal. I’ll share some of my favorite recipes and stain removal techniques. Enjoy!

Sweet ‘n Sour Springtime Asparagus

2 pound fresh asparagus

1 green pepper, diced

4 green onions, diced

1 stalk celery, diced

3/4 cup vegetable oil

1/2 cup red wine vinegar

1/2 cup sugar

1 clove garlic, minced

1/4 teaspoon paprika

Steam asparagus for until fork tender. Drain well. Place asparagus in a 9 x 13 shallow baking dish. Combine remaining ingredients; mix well and pour over asparagus. Cover and chill at least 4 hours or overnight. Before serving, drain marinade. Serves 6 to 8.
